Position Title: Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Wage: $30-$40/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2pm-10:30pm

The Maintenance Technician assists in all aspects of maintenance for the facility whether it be preventative, routine, or unpredicted maintenance. This individual will work independently or with others to troubleshoot issues in production, ground equipment, overhead cranes, or any item within or attached to the facility using maximum efficiency and effectiveness to achieve end goals. This is a direct hire opportunity for a company in the Kansas City, MO area.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required
- Follow company safety polices and safe work practices at all times to ensure safety of self and others
- Repair, service, and inspect all equipment related to the facility, such as, but not limited to overhead cranes, material handling equipment, production machinery, building components, driveways, and grounds
- Maintain detailed and accurate records when repairing, servicing, and inspecting equipment
- Ensure repairs and services performed conform as closely to the manufacturer's specifications as possible and in accordance with the company's scheduled guidelines
- Comply with company policies and OSHA guidelines affecting activity such as but no limited to Lock Out/Tag Out, Safety Data Sheets, and hazardous materials usage
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized maintenance shop
- Communicate with maintenance supervisor issues or possible solutions

Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of related maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Work in a yard or warehouse/plant within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated and/or unheated, dusty and noisy; steel-toed boots required daily
- Facility is a multiple shift operation; ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call at various times, including possible weekends and holidays
- Able to work in a fast-paced, moderately stressful, constantly changing day-to-day work environment
- Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to 8 hours per shift
- Wear proper PPE at all times (as described in company policy)
- Lift up to 50lbs as needed; pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50lbs
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts or chemicals
- Above ground repairs often involve personal lifting equipment (platforms or extendable booms)
- Detail-oriented and excellent observational and organizational skills
- Proven experience operating material handling equipment
- Ability to read and understand prints, documents, and/or drawings
- Knowledge of electricity (110, 230, and 460 voltage), hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
- Basic computer skills (data entry and equipment research)
